Street Art is often perceived as solely an illegal activity, and is often incorrectly represented by the form of graffiti known as 'tagging'. In reality, street art takes many forms, from graffiti, to murals, to street installations, and exists both in permissible and impermissible forms.
Street art, originally a product of artists that wanted to find new mediums with which to present their art, has now become a widespread form of expression. Some street artists use wheat pastings to send a message to the public, with a direct effect in mind, while others travel across the world to place their art in places where there is no desired effect other than to have an effect. The influence of street art has been enormous in the world, and it will be your task to document these effects.
